Global-Warning.org is the result of a journalistic initiative to tell an important story in an innovative and engaging way. Online.
I’m bragging a little bit. My brother Josh (Meyer) is Director of Education and Outreach for Medill’s National Security Journalism Initiative. It is his team of colleagues and students who put this together. (Medill is Northwestern University’s School of Journalism.) Tonight, they won a prestigious ONA Online Journalism Award for Best Multimedia Feature Presentation, Student Site.
You can visit their website at global-warning.org and read about the award and ONA below. But first, watch the video. It’s the back story behind the project and how Josh and his team developed and executed the Global-Warning initiative with a group of graduate-level journalism students, why, and the details behind the program and their tools and methods. It is (really, truly) amazing. Everything about it is brilliant. And I’m not saying that because it’s my brother’s work.
